Forge Work
My grandfather told me that when he was a young boy, about fifteen years of age, he worked in a forge industry. The forge is very near my house. The work is still carried on in it yet. He worked at wheel-making and nail-making.
He made the nails from iron. They got pieces of iron in the fire. Then, they hammered it with a hammer and made it round and flattened the top of it. They made the wheel from iron and wood. First they made a round hoop. Then they put wooden bars in it. That was the way they made wheels and nails in olden times.- Collector
