    it was spread out on the ground and then a horse was yoked with a stone and the horse drew the stone round and round and the flax was bruised as it went round. Then the flax seed was collected. This was called a ring-course.
    To bruize the furze, they were put down on a round stone.Then they were hammered with a wallet and given to horses as fodder.
    The old people did not know how to make boats (cattle) They made light boats called curraghs which were from branches of trees and skins of animals.
