Another disease known locally as the heart fever is cured in the following way.
The patient goes to the person who has the cure, the latter places a cord on the table, puts his elbow at the end and measures from the elbow to the tip of the fingers the arm being left flat on the table. He does this three times, and the differences is called so many "inches" of heart fever.
The patient must take a medicine made from herbs, southern woods being one of the ingredients.
This "heart failure" appears to be a nervous disease.The following are some cures for watrs
Rub them for 7 days running with a plant called Sun Spunge local name "Seven Sister" Get a potato cut into ten pieces rub the warts with each piece. Then tie the pieces in a small parcel and drop it on the the road(continues on next page)- Collector
