- I know the game Weigh the Butter Sell the Cheese. This is how we play it. Two girls stand with their backs to each other. They hook their arms together and they sway back and forward. One lifts the other on her back. When they are doing this they sing -- Weigh the butter Sell the cheese Go to the market And tell a wheen o lees (a lot of lies).
It takes two girls of the same size to do it. If one was big and the other small they could not do it for the small one could not lift the big one.- Collector
