    My Granny told me that her father Hught Mooney, could in his lifetime cure Heart fever. He lived in Drumadoey, in Fahan Parish. He used silk thread which he placed around the person's body. In a day or two, if the cure was working the threads would be twisted, and you could not seperate them again.
