  1. In Gortleck there is a field and it is believed that there was a valuable crock of either gold or pearls hidden by the Danes. There were several searches made for it but the exact spot could not be found out. At the bottom of the field there is a river running and it is said that the water had taken away a portion of the field and it said that maybe the teasure is washed away by it.
