A
After the work was finished last night we sat round the fire with my father and mother.
We talked about the names of fields on our own farm and on neighbouring farms.
Many of these fields are named in English, but some of them have names h which which have not an English sound.
On our farm there is a long field with clumps of rushes called The Long Mullans.
A stream divides our land from a neighbours.
On her side of the river is The Proiog. This is a sloping piece of land on which whin and fern and hazel bushes grow.
