There are two forges in this district. Joseph Cole, and Thomas Gilfillan are the smiths. Their fathers were smiths for many years. Thomas Gilfillan's forge is situated near a road, and Joseph Cole's forge is situated beside a crossroads The roof of Joseph Cole's forge is boarded and the front and back walls are also boarded. The gables are built with stone. Thomas Gilfillan's forge has a tin roof and stone walls.(continues on next page)- Collector
