    with an iron plough. Wooden ploughs were always used long ago, but there are none of them left. The spades are all bought in the shop, none of them are made locally. After the potatoes are planted they are hoed and then moulded. The next thing is the digging. They are dug with a digger, the people gather them in boxes every two father together and they put them in pits. The names of some of the potatoes are Epicures, Ruby Queens, Arran Banners, Suttons and Irish Queens. The kind of potatoes that grow best around this district are Aran Banners.
