  1. (no title) (continued)

In the district of Tulnaree, Carndonagh, Co Donegal, there is a small village called Gort.

    (continued from previous page)
divided among the household, and she was asked to take a "wee drop" and she accepted, but when she got it, she sent it spinning round the roof, and walked out.
The next evening she came again, and sat down on a stool convenient to the fire, but after a few minutes sitting, she rose to go out, and the woman of the house asked her, did she travel far the night, and she (asked) answered, "No indeed, just from the loosy bush" and she walked out and was never seen again.
The "loosy" bush grew about a few hundred yards from the house which the fairy woman visited, and it still remains to the present day.
This incident took place over seventy years ago.
