  2. About the year 1930 three men went to the bog to cut turf. When they were returning in the evening they found on the side of the hill of Crucknooskey in Glenagannon a wooden barrel about two feet in height and one foot broad full of Danish butter. It weighed about forty lbs. These men were William Mc Elhinney og Glack, Carndonagh, Neil Mc Keague of Foxhole, Carndonagh, and Joseph Porter, Effishmore, Carndonagh.
