  1. In ancient times the kind of light they used was not as good as ours now. They melted resin in a pot. They then took a strip of cloth and dipped it in the resin. It was then taken out and dipped again until it was as thick as required.
    Another kind of light they used was made out of fir. The fir was cut inot bits about the thickness of a match. This made a good light because resin is got from fir.
