There is no special way of calculating it but if the seller is pleased with his bargain he is more apt to give a good luck-penny. When a bargain is made, the parties concerned show their agreement by the dealer accepting the animal and the seller accepting the money. Some of the cattle when sold are marked with keel, some are rubbed with paint on the flank with a marking stick, and with others a little of the wool is cut off their backs.
