    15th of August at the Gap of Mam Mór to make the turas. In the evening the crowds came down to the cross-roads at the foot of the Gap. An old blind fiddler lived at the foot of the Gap and he played for the crowd and they danced and sang and spent a happy evening. When the dancing was over a collection was gathered for the poor blind man. The visitors were invited by the Urris people to their homes and given refreshments. Then a dance was held in some of the houses that night and a happy 15th was spent.
