  2. In the old graveyard down at Cloncha at the old Church a monk was killed long ago in the penal days. He was hiding in the parish for a long time and at last he was informed on. One day the monk was praying at a friends grave in the old grave-yard, he heard a noise out-side the gate; he knew this was the soldiers but he knelt on.
    One of the soldiers walked up to the monk and asked him his name, but he never spoke
