  2. There was an old man who lived in this parish and he was working with Mr Y_____. One day Neddy's master told him to go to the field and cut some grass so as to have the field opened for the reaper. His master sharpened the scythe and he said to Neddy "Here you are, she would cut herself."
    Neddy went to the field and placing the scythe nicely along the grass where he would begin to cut, and leaving it lying there he mounted the dike. About midday his master came to see if Neddy had the field opened for the reaper. When he got there he was astonished to see the scythe lying beside the uncut grass and Neddy standing on the dike.
    His master rushed into the field to show Neddy how to cut, when Neddy called "Watch out, you don't know
