    They tightened on the lid, put the coffin on the cart, put the “keenier” on top of the coffin and started off for the Church. When
    When they were about two mile from the house some one rushed to take the sheets down off the bed and they got a great scare when they saw the corpse under the bed. The rushed out after the funeral and turned them back to take the corpse with them.
    It’s said that if the sheets are not taken down before the funeral leaves the street there will be another death soon to follow. “Dang it’s eyes so the story’s toul.”
