- There was once a man who was going to a dance. He went by the shore and saw a girl washing her feet in the tide. He spoke to her but she did not answer him. He picked up a clod of turf and threw it at her but still she took no notice of him.
When he was coming home that night again, he saw something like a sack of wool. When he came near it began pushing him about. He happened to have a dog with him and the dog began to fight with it.
