    of a big flood. When the crane is building her nest she builds it much similar to the crow's but bigger. She builds it on the highest tree she can find. The wild duck builds her nest on the brink of a lake or river. The lap-wing builds her nest on the side of a hill, in heather. She makes her nest with white grass. She lays four eggs, and hatches them for three weeks. Another wild bird is the grouse. She lives out on the mountains. We hardly ever see the grouse flying around, because they live out on the mountains. She builds her nest of the withered old grass which is to be found on the mountain-
