road. A man of that name was killed on it and that why it is so called.
An old stage- coach road passes Man- of War Inn in Balrothery and leads to Balcunnin about three miles from Skerries. Cromwell travelled on this road from Drogheda on the way to destroy Baldungan battle in the year 1649.
This old road has a very rough surface, composed with the new roads made by the steam-roller.
