- About 75 years ago there lived a man by the name of Tom Farrell. One day he was going along by the marsh of Beaverstown. He saw a funeral procession coming along and it was the corpse of a fairy. When the man saw the funeral going he hid behind a ditch and when the funeral came to the place where the man was hiding the fairies stopped and the fairies asked who was the next to carry the coffin. The said no one else but Tom Farrell and he had to come out from his hiding place and he had to carry the coffin to Co. Meath
