There is a church situated in Castleknock which was once a Catholic church but it was taken over by the Protestants. They wanted an eagle on the steeple instead of the cross which was and is on it. Any man who would succeed in taking the cross down would be rewarded, but each man that went up fell off and was killed. They even attempted to knock it down with arrows but the arrows flew back and killed the men.
