- A fire.About 16 years ago some boys were sent from Bray to Howth to burn down the hill because too many were coming to Howth and only a few to Bray. They went up the hill near Tweedy's and set fire to the bushes and ferns, which were so dry they caught fire easily.The fire spread right around the hill to St Fintan's. This terrible fire lasted a month. There were camps on the hill but they were taken away before the harm came to them.There were no houses or people in danger.Mr J. Redmond
