  1. A Local Yarn.
    Once a fisherman set a long line, somewhere between Ireland's Eye and Howth.
    He went to haul it and got only Blind Jemmies upon it.
    These are dog-fish, that live in very deep water and when they are brought up, they shut their eyes.
    The man was angry so he stabbed them with his knife and threw them back bleeding, into the sea.
    After that no fish were ever caught there.
