    chair opposite the priest, and the priest looked round at the guns. She jumped up and took one of them in her hands, and pointed it to the priest and said " You said last Sunday, that my husband was gone to Hell, and unless you can prove it for me, you'll get the contents of all those guns ". The priest said nothing but stood up, and took a book from his pocket. Before he started to read, he asked the woman, would she like him to prove, where her husband was. The woman said, " Isn't that what we brought you here for ". The priest began to read, and in five minutes after they heard the rattle of chains coming up the stairs.
    Before, they could speak, the door was bursted in, and in walked the dead man, and him bound with chains, and on fire. When the friends saw him, they began to scream, and they begged the priest, to put him back to Hell again, but the priest refused to do so. The dead man begged of the priest, not to put him to him to hell again, but to put him to anywhere else he liked. The priest went out, and left the dead man then with his friends, but they all were crying for to take him away. At last the widow went down on her knees, and said she was sorry, for what she did. After a while the priest got some for thing (?) and he began to read again. The
