    a silk cloth dipped in spring water and tied round your neck when you are going to bed is a cure for a sore throat.
    A cloth tied round your head is a cure for a sore head.
    Embrocation is a cure for pains.
    Hemlock, and spring water is a cure for a strained leg.
    Garlick, and hot milk is a very goof cure for the measels.
    If you have, a pain in your side get a stone, and spit on it, and throw it away the pain will leave.
    If you have a wart on your foot cut a potatoe into two halves hide one of the halves, and wait till it gets rotten, and rub the other bit on the wart, and when the other bit is rotten the wart will be away.
    If a calf has a bad cough put two spoonfuls of sulphur down his throat and it will go away
    If there is a white scum over a cow's eye blow alum into it and it will get better.
    If you boil bogbine, and drink its juice it is good for cleaning your blood.
    If you have warts on your feet or hands get a black snail, and tie it round the
