    them into a basin of water. Then she got another basin and put a thin cloth over it and strained the water from the grained potatoes into it. Then she wrung the cloth and threw out the potatoes. She left all aside to settle. She threw out the water off the top and the starch was left. She left the starch to get dry just like cornflour. Then she could use it as she needed it. It was used in the same way as the present day starch.
