When they have a chum made, they take out the butter, and when they are washing it it, they put a bit of it up in the wall and leave it there for a week, and this is good for a for a rash that is out through you, and they say that the longer the butter is in the wall the better it is. 2.Unsalted butter is good for a cold, to put through oatmeal and butermilk. 3. It is also goof for a cut, it is as good as ointment. 4. It is also good to put in your hair.

   1. It is very good mixed with sulphur for cuts.
   2. It is very good for ring-worm.
   3. It was used very much long ago for poultices.
   4. Unsalted butter is good for burns. The older it is the better it is.
   5. Unsalted butter, mixed with sulphur is good for rash in a person's head.
   6. It is good for a hard cough.
   7. It is good for softening shoes or leather.
   8. It is sometimes used for putting grease on the cart.
