- A burial moundThere is a burial mound on the right hand side of the road from Barnaderg to the church. There is a shop opposite it at present.
It is said there was a soldier buried in this place. it was a custom in old times when there was a funeral the coffin was left on the road opposite the grave and everyone kneel down and say a few prayers.
When the funeral went on its way again every person threw in a stone on the heap inside. After a while the mound grew to a height of about seven feet. The custom was(continues on next page)- Collector
