    About eighty years ago the people had four meals. The breakfast the dinner the supper and the snack before they went to bed.The breakfast consisted of potatoes,milk and butter and after that bread and butter.The food for the dinner was potatoes,herrings,butter and sometimes meat.The food for the supper was bread and milk.Before the people went to bed they had a pot of potatoes boiled and anyone in the house could eat them with milk. The three principal foods were milk,potatoes and butter. The table was placed against the wall,but if the family was large it was pulled out in the middle of the floor. The kind of bread used was oaten bread,wholemeal bread and potato bread.The kind of fish used was herrings,eels,mackerel and ling.The kind of meat was salted meat. Nearly all the
