    corns will fall off rotten. Nearly all the boots were made by a shoemaker. There were four or five shoemakers in the parish at that time. The last shoemaker was Máirtín Gréasaidhe and he was a first class shoemaker. He is still alive and unfortunately he is in the County Home. The patch that is put on a shoe or boot that happens to be cracked or broken is called a taoibhín. There are no clogs worn now.
