   And to his great mistake, the Blazers still keep near
   When he reached the shore one thousand shouts and more
   With acclamation bore the date of his downfall
   On Ballyturn hill, he freely made his will
   With cunning art and skill to compliment them all
   No time being left to rave he died a victim brave
   His enemies forgave and bid them all farewell
   This night shall chase away the hardships of the day
   And what he willed to say some future page shall tell
   The Blazers we can trace from great Milesian race
   Whose births without disgrace, their poet will extol
   Great Burkes and Blakes you know and Kirwans also
   And Perse of Roxburgh where Peers often calls
   There are Gilmartins and Bradys, Dillons, D'Arcys, Daly's, Butlers, Lamberts, Melias and Donnellans likewise
   There are Nugents, Galbrets,Trenches, Hamiltons, Lynches
   Rathburns and Frenches, all where Reynard died
   Our County joy, is Perse of Castleboy
   Who ornaments the cries on each St Stephens Day
   Whose foxhounds never fail to sniff the morning gate
   The truly win the trail and that without delay
   His steeds beyond compare are never in the rear
   But whip and spur can't spare when Renard is in view
   Here is to George, our King O'Connell next to him
   While time is on the swing, our pleasures we'll pursue.
