He was a good landlord to the Protestants, and he did everything in his power to help them. He was good to the Catholics also, but on condition that they sent their children to the Protestant school to be taught. If they refused, they would be evicted from their houses.The people used to go to the Workhouse when evicted from their homes, or may be some kind person might help them.
