- There was a man reaping wheat with a reaping hook long ago. He threw the hook after a hare and the hook stuck in the hare. Sometime afterwards the man visited an old woman who was sick. When he was about to go home the woman took a hook from behind a rafter. She gave it to the man and told him not to be throwing his hook after the people any more.
