    had his den, and he would have killed Lonn only for the belt which choked him so that Lonn rode him home so the magician thought it was his own turn to be devoured. He begged of Lonn to let the lion loose and hunt him home. The magician had enough of Lonn and his belt. He paid him a full year's wages and bade him good-bye. Lonn departed and brought all the money home to his poor old mother.
