    Hallowe'en is celebrated by diving for apples in tubs of water, snap apple, and a ring is put into a sweet cake and who ever gets the ring is supposed to marry first in the house.
    On Christmas Night a large candle is lighted inside the window and a log of timber put on the heart called a "bloc Nodlag" which burns away for days. Nobody goes visiting that night or Christmas day.
