People do not believe in herbs for curing diseases now-a-days as long ago because they can afford to bring a doctor to cure them and anyhow they are too swanky and modern to use herbs. If you got a sting of a nettle a dock-leaf is very soothing to rub to it. A dock-lead is great for stopping blood also. Barrageen moss it is good to drink for a cold. At the sea it is found. Its colour is white.
In the farmers gardens a great many weeds grow. The names of the principle that grow as "Praisc Buidhe" which means the yellow weed, Neantóg caoch, which means the dead nettle, Saint Patrick's lead and the silver leaf. Blacktops grow in good rich land. Thistles also grow in good land and dock-leaves grow in poor land. There are a many other weeds that grows in the farmer's gardens.(continues on next page)- Collector
