  1. 1. The name of the village I live in is Barnaboy. There are six families in the village. It is in the parish of Abbey. There are thirty-two people in the village. It is in the (l) Barony of Leitrim.
    2. Barnaboy was called this name because there was a yellow gap in it long ago. Larkins and Maddens are the most numerous names in the village. There are four houses slated and two tatched in Barnaboy.
    3. There are two people over seventy years old living in our village. They can tell stories in english. These are their names. Mrs Larkin Barnaboy, Abbey. Loughrea, Co. Galway.
