- There is a blessed well in Limehill. It is called Bran's Well. It was blessed by St. Brendan and that is how it got its name. Long ago the people used go there to perform. If they had a disease or a pain they would go to the well so that they might be cured. The well is closed up now because on Pattern Day a very large crowd used gather there and they used have drink. When they would get drunk they would fight. All the tinkers of the country used be gathered there on that day. There would also be a tent set up near the well Pattern Day and all kinds of drink sold in it.
Very few go the well now.- Collector
