- This one occured on the 8th June 1903. The sky got as dark as night and anyone that wanted to go anywhere could not go. The lightning, thunder and rain were terrible. There was a man named Reardon from Druimkeary killed. It killed seven calves, the property of a man named Barrette from Raheen. It killed a sow and three pigs outside Finnerty's house in Leitrim. It knocked thousands of trees. It the worst storm since or before.
