- On Hallow'een, this woman was anxious to know who she would marry, so this is the way she had to find out. She prepared a meal and left it on the table with a knife and fork, then she hung damp clothing on a chair by the fire, she then concealed herself behind a screen, and when midnight came, a man came in and turned the cloths, then he ate the meal and went away again. Then the woman got terribly frightened and she concealed the knife in a very secret place. Later that year she got married to him.
