    Ye boys of east Galway assembled to-day

    Ye boys of east Galay assembled to-day to put down the grabber that came from Loughrea
    You gallant Killimore and Tynagh also for to hold this great farm you struck the first blow
    It was carly on that morning the warning note did ring
    But to answer the call of duty this farm was to win
    And carly at Lisduff gate they loyally took there stand
    For in spite of Finn or policemen they meant to have their land
    All well went up to mid-day no policemen did appear
    The strangers they were sent away they thought there was no fear
    But with their weak and strength you may judge by their surprise, when they saw the DI coming and forty-two police
    The officer then viewed the crowd whose appearance was so small
