When the new moon is on it's back it's a sign of rain. When it is upright its a sign of fine weather. A new moon on Saturday is a sign of bad weather. When there is a ring around the moon it's a sign of rain. When the weather is fine the first day of the first quarter, it will remain fine for the whole quarter. Stars:
A large number of stars is a sign of frost.
