From Trady Silke, Ballymurry, Ballaun on the 24th September, Age 81. - Hedge SchoolI remember a poor scholar staying at our house when I was seven years of age and saying that my uncle went to a "Hedge School", which was situated in Bullaun village where Mr. Kelly's shop now stands. That was the last of the "Hedge Schools" in this locality as far as I can remember. It closed down probably 90 years ago.Got by: E.J. Moynihan, Bullaun, Loughrea.
