There are different kinds of dress, skirts, coats, swaggers, costumes and other kind.
The swagger is a short loose fastened at the neck and worn over a skirt, and the costume is a small tight fitting coat worn over a skirt of the same material The dress is a garment that is not open down the front fastened at the neck of various patterns.
The sewing implements are a needle, thimble, scissors measuring tape and machine. When a person goes to the dressmakers to get a dress made. The first thing the dressmaker does is to get the measuring tape and get the measurements from the shoulder to any part below the knee, waste and under arms.
