- There was once a man and his name was Jack. He lived with his wife on Connemara coast, just outside the place were Galway is situated now. He lived in an old hovel and he was a poor fisherman. This happened hundreds of years ago. Jack had no luck fishing atal. The fishes seemed as if they shunned him and his boat.
