- (continued from previous page)Ther is a ruined castle to the south east of Williamstown Parish which was built by a Norman lady of the Burkes of Glynsk Castle named Núala na Mideóige in or about the fifthtennth or sixteenth century.
This castle which is situated in the townland of Castletogher, Parish of Williamstown, Barony of Ballymoe and County of Galway has been derelict for about one hundred years and the last people who inhabited it were a man named John Troy and his family and there is an old man in Castletogher whose grandmother attended a wake in the castle.
It is said locally that Núala lived at first with her brother Liam Garbh in Glynsk Castle but because he married a girl whom she disliked Núala left the Burke(continues on next page)- Collector
