the devil. On May morning all the fairies change from one fort to another. They change twice a year. They also change on the first of November. When they are going a big blow of wind goes from one fairy bush to another. The people would not throw out anything on that day because if they did they would be throwing out something for the rest of the year. They would not give away anything either on that day such as milk or butter because the next milk would be sour. They would throw out all the ashes on the evening before. The people also would not send a coal out in the field because it is not right. On November night the people make cally and they leave a plate of it out for the fairies to eat.
It would be eaten in the morning by the fairies.
