    1. Twelfth night: - This is called little Xmas night. A custom survives in this district in connection with this night.
    Twelve candles are made from rushes.
    A bed made from ashes and cow dung is then made and the twelve rush candles which are dried, peeled and greased are then placed in the bed in proper order. At midnight each member of the family selects a candle and all the candles are lighted. They stay lighted for about five minutes. The first candle put out whoever it belongs to is supposed to be the first dead.
