    and sometimes in bands. The Ward family and Mrs. Power were the best known in our district.
    It is at Christmas time they visit mostly. They called especially on fairs and show days. They also called on feast days. They brought news from distant parts because they knew every family and every house on account of visiting them often.
    The people of the village took a great delight in gathering together to listen to them telling stories.
